My name is Alison and at the age of sixteen I embarked on a YTS training scheme working in a hairdressing salon. Even though most of the day I was shampooing hair or sweeping it up my love for hairdressing was born! I then trained as a hairdresser after leaving school in Kirkaldy College, Fife. I gained NVQ Levels 1 and 2. That was over 20 years ago and since then I have developed my skills and expertise in hair styling and colouring working in top hair salons such as Hair on Broadway. For the last ten years I have worked solely in people's homes. I have found this way of working the most satisfying - I really get to know my clients and style their hair away from the busy, noisy salon and provide a service that is up to 50% cheaper!

Although I no longer work in a salon I ensure that I am up to date with recent developments in the hairdressing world. I regularly attend training courses through the Freelance Hair Federation of which I am a member.

I am also fully insured to do your hair in your home as I have a comprehensive Public Liability Insurance policy.

As I am mobile I am willing to travel to the following areas to style your hair in the comfort of your own home:
